In the particular case of vessels equipped with satellite communication, the NeptuLink by MVG does not substitute the communications by satellite but can be a cost saving complement.
Indeed, when getting close to the shore (from at least 20 nautical miles), it will be possible to use 4G communications to send information, online forms (fishing log books), reports, paying 4G communication (fixed value per month for Gigas of data) instead of paying much more expensive satellite (value per MB).
